Asthmatic Astronaut: Spirit World

For reasons undefined I’ve decided to start the blogging again, with a wee bit of musical recommendations and commentary. Then because it’s the start of the year I’ve not done much music yet, so we’re off to a bit of a funny start.

I went and bought Spirit World by Asthmatic Astronaut. Here it is here:

Nice ambient play while I’m working, has been automatically categorised in my head along side Aesop Rock’s Spirit World Field Guide based on beats and title alone. Naturally more drawn in to the tracks with vocal features, The Door (IIRC Caledonian Gothic is Harlequinade – whose WALLS COME DOWN on Asthmatic Astronaut’s This is Not Pop was a favourite and I think goes back to Sileni and all that?) and The Wraith are both good.
